Heads or tails, no coin and no cheating

Need to settle something? Flip a truly random coin: each toss uses the browser’s cryptographic generator, an exact 50/50. Counter and percentages included.

  1. Flip

One click gives heads or tails, with animation.

  2. Or ×10

    Chain ten flips at once.

  3. Track the score

Heads, tails, total and percentages update.

Frequently asked questions

Is the toss really 50/50?

Yes. Each flip reads a random byte via crypto.getRandomValues and keeps its low bit: heads or tails each have exactly a one-in-two chance, with no bias.

Why don’t my 10 flips give 5-5?

That’s normal: over a small number of flips, deviation from 50/50 is common (say 7-3). The more you flip, the closer the percentage gets to 50% — that’s the law of large numbers, not a flaw.

What is the counter for?

It adds up all your flips and shows the number of heads, tails, the total and the percentages. Handy for a probability experiment or to track a streak.

Are my flips sent anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser, offline once the page is loaded. No result is stored or transmitted.
