Frequently asked questions
How does resizing work?
Your image is drawn onto a canvas at the new size, then re-encoded. Everything happens in the browser: no file is sent to a server.
Does resizing degrade quality?
Shrinking an image keeps excellent quality. Enlarging it beyond its original size, however, introduces blur: you cannot invent details that aren’t there.
How do I keep the proportions?
Leave the “keep aspect ratio” option on: changing the width automatically adjusts the height (and vice versa) to avoid any distortion.
Which formats are supported?
Common web formats: JPG, PNG and WebP. The downloaded image keeps a format suited to the original.
Are my images uploaded online?
No, never. Processing is fully local, which guarantees privacy even for sensitive documents.
