Frequently asked questions
How are the times calculated?
From the sun’s position: Dhuhr at solar noon, Fajr and Isha by twilight angles, Asr by shadow length.
Which method should I pick?
MWL, ISNA, Egypt or Karachi differ in Fajr/Isha angles. Follow your local mosque’s method.
Standard or Hanafi for Asr?
The standard school (Shafi/Maliki/Hanbali) uses shadow factor 1, the Hanafi school factor 2 (later Asr).
Is my location data sent?
